Single Channel Vibrating Wire Logger

This logger is designed to store data from a single transducer. It is a simple, economic alternative to Sigra’s Eight Channel Radio Data Logger.

Operation Overview

The Sigra Single Vibrating Wire Logger is capable of reading and recording data from a vibrating wire transducer and its associated temperature sensing thermistor. Vibrating wire transducers have the ability to maintain reading accuracy even when used over long wires.

The logger can also be connected to, and record pressure and temperature data from a Sigra Vented Pressure Transducer. The vented pressure transducer is especially suited to lower pressure operation where atmospheric compensation is required.

The transducer is connected to the logger via a cable gland through the housing to a screw terminal block. Connections are clearly marked and even if misconnected the logger will detect this and operate correctly.

Advantages

User replaceable batteries typically lasting longer than 12 months and large data storage capacity permit extended periods of unattended recording.

Configuration of the logger including selection of appropriate sampling interval, transducer type and excitation is via a USB connection to a PC. A Windows based application program allows the user to configure the logger or download recorded data as required.
